SCC provides a range of specialist professional services that support its Cloud services.
We have experience, gained over 30 years, of designing, developing, implementing and operating a broad range of cloud services. This has included the full range from private cloud environments through to fully managed community and public cloud services.
SCC has invested heavily in the people, process and technologies required to deliver a complete cloud service to its clients. SCC specialist cloud services ensure that the risks associated with complex migrations into and out of cloud services are mitigated. The professional services that achieve this include consultancy for design and development and transition management, with overarching design authority capability.
Additional cloud offerings include video conferencing services and document services, plus recycling and refurbishment services. Cloud services inherently meet green agendas through the sharing of common infrastructure amongst multiple clients. SCC’s recycling and refurbishment services also ensure that, as cloud services are adopted, a client’s residual infrastructure is dealt with in the most environmentally advantageous way possible.
SCC’s experience of delivering solutions and services for the public sector is second to none, with approximately a third of its revenues coming from public sector organisations. With revenues of in excess of £2 Billion, and being consistently profitable over its three decade history, SCC is a stable partner for its public sector clients. SCC has been closely involved with the Government’s G-Cloud Programme, in particular the Commercial Work Stream, which worked with the ICT industry and government to develop and agree key commercial principles for G-Cloud.
