ISV Support
Following accreditation SCC can now supply IL2 and IL3 Cloud services to the public sector, maximising the concept of the Cloud by nurturing an effective multi-tenanted environment built around concepts such as pay-per-use, leveraged infrastructure, capacity on demand and access for new software players.
With a successful public sector track record going back 30 years, SCC is well versed in both the opportunities and the challenges involved, with suppliers and government organisations alike facing a number of entrenched issues around security and communication.
Of significant importance to the SME ISV community is our SMTC platform’s ability to deliver Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) to make access to public sector easier for those small businesses offering Cloud-based solutions. SCC continues to the drive development of SaaS as a matter of priority, with SME ISV suppliers now afforded a truly effective route to market, enabling them to compete on a level playing field with larger suppliers via the newly accredited Cloud platform.
Tracy Westall SCC Public Sector Sales Director
SCC removes the barriers to access to the Public Sector by delivering expertise the SME might not normally have access to in areas such as:
- Legal – pre-tested and established trading frameworks expedite procurement. Suppliers can talk directly to our in-house legal expertise to navigate their way through a procurement process which ordinarily would take a long time and incur significant costs.
- Contractual – the reuse of a model contract process which reflects Government terms is an important value-add for both parties.
- Accreditation – we can also assess the quality systems the SME has in place and assist them in working towards ISO accreditation as part of SCC’s ‘Working Together Partnering Program’.
- Frameworks – Through our existing G-Cloud frameworks, we have a process that allows smaller businesses to transact with the public sector, with SCC acting as the prime contractor.
